This light and spacious ranch-style home, located in a large tree-lined corner plot, offers an enjoyable Florida vacation, maybe as a relaxing balance to the Orlando theme parks. It's the kind of place which says 'Welcome to Florida' when you arrive and 'Welcome home' when you return from a day on the beach or out shopping.
The front door opens into a comfortable family room with a TV, DVD/CD players. CDs, DVDs, board games and books are available, together with internet access. The double sliding patio doors open out on to the pool deck.
You don't have to do anything - but you could dip into the 30' x 15' heated pool, dip into one of our collection of books or, best of all, float on the airbed in the pool while someone else makes the tea or fetches you a drink.
It's all about informality and relaxation. You can enjoy food and drink in the breakfast nook adjoining the very well-equipped kitchen (including an air fryer), or relax around the table by the pool in the shade of the patio, with overhead lighting and fan for the warm evenings. A gas-fired grill is available.
The bedrooms on either side of the family room are attractively furnished in Floridian colours. The spacious master bedroom has a king-size bed (US Queen), two walk-in closets, en suite bathroom/toilet, bath, walk-in shower, and access to the pool deck.
On the other side of the lounge, the second and third bedrooms are on either side of a bathroom/toilet with over-bath shower: the second bedroom has a king-size bed (US Queen) and enjoys direct access to the pool deck; the front bedroom has twin beds. Each bathroom comes with toiletries and a hairdryer.
A separate laundry room leads through from the hallway to the double garage.
Our home is in a residential area of Spring Hill, near the Gulf Coast, with easy access to beaches and waterways. Shopping and restaurants are minutes away. It's within an hour of Tampa International Airport via the Suncoast Parkway and about 2 hours from Orlando.
The resorts of Clearwater, Tarpon Springs and Busch Gardens are well within driving distance. Spring Hill is perfect for golfers with numerous courses nearby. There are many wildlife areas or waterways in this part of Florida. Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, with its mermaid shows, river cruises and kayaking, is 10 minutes away.
Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is renowned for its enchanting daily live mermaid shows in an underwater theatre. The crystal clear Weeki Wachee river has kayak facilities and it's a sheer delight to drift down river alongside turtles, shoals of fish, river birds and maybe the occasional manatee. The wildlife reserve of Homosassa Springs, where manatees congregate in the winter months, is a short drive north on US 19. The resorts of Clearwater Beach, Tarpon Springs, St. Pete's Beach and Busch Gardens are an hour to the south. Cruises to the Caribbean depart from the port of Tampa.

| Rentals can start any day. A £300/$400 discount will normally be available for a stay of 4 weeks or more. Discounts will also be available in the summer months of July to September. |
Bookings of up to 4 weeks are secured upon payment of £300/$400 deposit, refundable up to 12 weeks prior to the letting date. For bookings of more than four weeks, a deposit of £400/$500 is requested.
Full payment (non-refundable) is due 8 weeks prior to arrival date, plus an additional security deposit of £300/$400. The security deposit will be refunded after departure, less the costs of any damage caused. |
