Our home is spacious and well furnished, modern yet retaining that 'Floridian feel'.
The villa has four bedrooms, each with cable TV and plenty of cupboard space. For added comfort, all bedrooms have ceiling fans. The master bedroom has an American king-size bed, flat-screen TV with DVD and an ensuite with twin-basins, bath and large separate shower. The second bedroom is a double, whilst bedrooms 3 and 4 are both twins. Each of the additional two bathrooms has showers.
The lounge is bright and airy with direct access to the lanai, deck and pool area. It is equipped with multi-channel digital cable TV, a DVD player, wireless ADSL (broadband), books and games. The 'formal' dining area seats eight, whilst there is also a four-seater breakfast nook. The kitchen is fully equipped, including microwave, dishwasher, juice-maker, coffee-maker and, of course, a full-size American-style fridge with built-in icemaker.
Our favourite area is probably the lanai. Ideal for a relaxing breakfast in the sun after a morning dip, for al-fresco eating or for an evening drink, game and a chat, it catches the sun from early morning and is also deep enough to allow you to sit outside even through one of Florida's spectacular thunderstorms (but stay out of the water!)
As the whole pool area is southeast facing, and with the extended deck, you can enjoy the sun all day. The deck is equipped with 4 padded sun loungers, patio table and padded chairs. Pool heating is available if required. The pool area is protected by an insect-screen and, for added child-safety, there is a door alarm on the patio doors.
The garage has been converted into a games area with a pool table, air hockey and darts board to provide entertainment for all ages.
There is a separate laundry room equipped with a washer and tumble dryer. There is also an iron available for your convenience. Linens and towels are provided. A cot and high chair are available free if required.
To ensure the comfort of all our guests, inside the villa is a no-smoking, no-pet zone. Also, for your safety, smoke alarms are fitted throughout the house, and a fire extinguisher is provided.
Finally, the Bridgewater Crossing community is very well maintained and has some of the best facilities of any community. It has a full-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball, children’s play area, lakeside picnic area and a jogging track.

When we had the opportunity to buy our Florida dream home we looked long and hard to find the ideal location, close to shops, restaurants, entertainment and the parks yet providing a comfortable, quiet retreat for relaxing and for family time. We believe we found the ideal location- and the ideal home! We have continued to work on our villa to make it our perfect home-from-home in the Sunshine State, and hopefully it can be the same for you. Our Villa is within easy reach of all the main attractions, shopping, restaurants, golf and other amenities.
We are situated in Davenport, Polk County, on Lake Shore Parkway in the beautiful Bridgewater Crossing community. Bridgewater Crossing is off CR54 (Ronald Reagan Parkway), just 10 minutes from the '192' (with all it's restaurants, shops, supermarkets, fast food and entertainments) and only 5 minutes from the I4. That means that Disney can be reached in 10 minutes, SeaWorld and Universal in about 20, Tampa and Busch Gardens in less than an hour and the east coast (Cocoa Beach, Daytona, Kennedy Space Centre) in about an hour and a half. The area is well served with golf courses, with the Greg Norman designed ChampionsGate courses only minutes away.
Despite its tranquil location there are supermarkets, gas stations, restauants, fast food, pharmacy and banks all within 5 minutes of our home.
