You will find this large, luxurious villa along Florida’s southwestern coast approximately an hour’s drive from Tampa. It stands on a three quarter acre plot in a beautiful, protected and unspoilt area just off the Manasota Beach road. Here the clear blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico moderate the temperature summer and winter for a wonderful year-round climate - basking in sun for most of the year with daytime temperatures rarely dropping below 70 degrees.

This area is known for its beaches, prehistoric sharks' teeth, scenic parks and Northern Italian Renaissance architectural style.

For beach lovers the wonderfully scenic beach at Manasota Key is just a few minutes drive with the shops and supermarkets a similar distance in the opposite direction.

The interstate I 75 is a ten minute drive away, giving swift access to the wealth of attractions that Florida has to offer.

We had this larger than average, four bedroom villa, our home in paradise, built by a renowned local builder on a three quarter acre beautifully landscaped plot. We specified the most exacting standards of finish, have decorated and furnished it to the highest standards of luxury and comfort and have superbly equipped it throughout. The house is surrounded by trees and shrubs to ensure privacy.

The house is fully air conditioned with the high cathedral ceilings giving a wonderful feeling of spaciousness. It has cable tv, wireless internet access, intercom and piped radio to all rooms and the pool area, boasts a superb games room and has a very large “sports” pool with an equally large deck area.

Enter the pillared foyer of this beautiful home to view the lounge, furnished with two sofas and occasional tables and access to the pool. Sit here in the peace of night with your evening cocktail and take in the relaxing views of the pool and the floodlit trees beyond.

To the right lies the formal dining room with seating for eight and to the left the superb master suite with king bed, private seating area and private entrance to the pool area. This room also features cable tv, an en-suite bathroom with large walk in shower, deep tub and walk in closet.

The American style kitchen is large and fully equipped with all the modern conveniences and has rattan stools around the counter. There is also a small dinette, also done in rattan, with glass top table that looks out onto the pool area for small informal dining. Attached to the kitchen is a utility room with a washer and tumble dryer.

The living room is very comfortably furnished with sofas and arm chairs, a large TV and a DVD player with a good selection of DVD’s.

Behind the living room is the second master suite with queen bed and en-suite bathroom with walk in shower and walk in closet. This room also has a private entrance to the pool area. There are two other guest rooms that both share a full bath with shower and tub and each have two twin beds and large closets.

Behind the utility room is the Games Room. This is equipped with a full size professional pool table, a dart board, a wet bar and cable tv. This is a great place for all the family to relax, chill and have some fun.

The pool area is a wonderful feature of this house and is equipped to the same high standards as the rest of the house. The large electrically heated pool (33 x 17 feet approx) sits in a huge deck which features two lanais where you can relax with your morning coffee, feast on your evening Barbie or simply snooze out of the midday sun. The deck features sun loungers, a gas barbeque, outdoor dining table and chairs, occasional tables and a top of the range, superbly relaxing outdoor 3 piece suite.

The area beyond the pool features accented lighting which “opens up” the area at night and provides a wonderful ambience.
This house has something for everyone. Wonderfully located to explore the beautiful Florida beaches, try out the numerous restaurants in the area, play one of a dozen local golf courses or simply chill around the house itself. Our idyll in paradise!

The superb beaches are a very short drive away. Here you can bathe in the warm waters of the gulf, watch the dolphins play and if you’re really lucky view the majestic manatees. The beaches are a paradise for beach combers – Venice is the shark tooth capital of the world – and sun worshippers alike.

For the more adventurous take a fishing charter – the area is renowned for tarpon, go scuba diving or hire a boat or jetski, or take a trip to the everglades ( approx 1 hour) and ride an air boat over the swamps to meet up with the alligators and other native wildlife.
The Myaka river is 15 minutes away where you can take a boat ride through old Florida or simply savour the natural beauty of the area.

For those who prefer dry land try one of the numerous golf courses in the area (watch out for the gators!), visit the local theatre in Venice, scatter the pins at the bowling alley or visit the cinema – all this within 15 minutes drive.

Take a coffee in Venice high street and explore the beautifully quaint shops (housed in restored 1920’s buildings). Or venture into one of the numerous malls lining the main road to Venice to grab a bargain.

For the serious shopper head toward Sarasota and visit some of the large department stores.

When hunger calls there are a vast array of eateries catering for all tastes and serving a wordwide selection of cuisine. From steaks, burgers and pizzas to oysters, caviar and lobster. American, French, Spanish, Mexican, Cuban, English, Chinese, Indian, German, Italian etc, etc, etc - you’ll find it all here.

For sublime sophistication drive the 20 miles to Sarasota. While your there check out the beach on Siesta key, renowned for having the most golden sand in the world.

If you want to venture farther the big rides at Busch gardens, near Tampa, are approx an hours drive or the vast array of theme parks at Disney are approx 2 hours away.

Going South Sanibel and Captiva Islands with their wonderful nature trail are about a 45 minute drive and the sophistication of Naples approx an hours drive.

Whatever your taste you should find something to suit to ensure a holiday never to be forgotten.
