One of Florida’s newest developments, the prestigious Glenbrook Resort Community is ideally located for all of the major attractions in central Florida. Situated on the US 27 one mile north of the Highway 192 junction means that Glenbrook is just a ten minute drive from the Disney theme parks and twenty five minutes from Sea World and Universal Studios. Also in the area around Glenbrook there are over sixty golf courses to keep even the most ardent enthusiast happy. A little further away is the Kennedy Space Centre on the east coast and the Tampa / Saint Petersburg Bay area on the west coast are both an easy drive away along the I4.

Locally there are a large number of shops and restaurants, including two supermarkets / pharmacies at the entrance to the resort and a large twenty four hour Walmart a couple of minutes drive down the US27.

Within Glenbrook itself there are check in and check out facilities available on site to avoid having to drive elsewhere to pick up the keys. In addition there is a fully equipped clubhouse for your use which offers a large pool complex, volleyball, tennis court, media room, fitness room, and a games room with a pool table.

This new executive villa was built in 2006 and offers everything you could possibly want from your Floridian home from home.

The property has four bedrooms, two of which are doubles and two twins, three bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen, lounge, laundry room, and a swimming pool.

The settee in the lounge folds out to make a queen size bed, meaning that up to ten guests may enjoy the villa. The two master bedrooms both have en-suite bathrooms, with one bedroom having a king size bed and the other a queen size bed. The master en-suite has a Jacuzzi style bath and shower, while the second ensuite has a bath and shower. Bedrooms three and four are both twins furnished to the same high standard as the master bedrooms, sharing the remaining bathroom and shower. All bedrooms have built in wardrobes.

The family room is the heart of the house, and features several sofas, dining room table and chairs and a large TV and video, all tastefully decorated by a professional designer. This is the ideal room to relax in after a day out exploring all that Florida has to offer, while still enabling you to keep an eye on the kids as they use up the rest of their energy in the pool!

The Kitchen area is fully tiled and well equipped with large oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and ice maker and many other utensils. The sink includes a waste disposal and water filter system. All crockery, cutlery and glasses etc are provided. There is also a dining table with places for six and a breakfast bar.

The fully screened pool is west facing in order to make the most of the sunset while you relax after a day out, and unlike many villas it is not overlooked – a real asset. A BBQ is also available in the garage that can be taken round to the pool area for some truly memorable outdoor cooking. Pool equipment such as inflatable kids toys are also included, as is a screen which is easily assembled along the length of the pool to prevent accidents with small children falling into the pool.

The laundry room is equipped with a full size washing machine and drier, and also includes a clothes drying frame, iron and ironing board.

For the youngsters a high chair, cot/crib and a buggy/stroller are available in the house to ensure that guests of all ages are well catered for.

Florida offers such a huge range of activities that it is hard to know where to start, but undoubtedly many people young and old visit Florida for the theme parks. Star Villa is located just ten minutes away from the Disney entrance for all the Disney Parks. This saves on long drives with the kids each morning and evening, and also gives you the option to return back to the villa and take a break or have dinner before going back for the evening fireworks display. Other parks in the area include Sea World which is 20 minutes away, and Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure which is also a 20 minutes drive.

After the parks the second most popular activity in Florida must be the shopping! You will not be disappointed by the offerings in the Orlando area, with a huge range for all tastes and budgets. The Florida Mall is justifiably well known, with over 200 stores as well as bars, restaurants and a cinema. Also extremely popular is Belz Factory Outlet World, which has 170 stores all discounted to factory prices! Also close by are the Universal Studios City Walk and Kissimmee Manufacturers Outlet. More locally, at the entrance to Glenbrook there are two supermarkets / pharmacies, while Wal-Mart is a couple of minutes drive away.

If its beaches that you want the Florida has many to choose from. Our favourite is the St Petersburg/Clearwater area beaches on the west coast, which are about a one and three quarter hours drive from the villa. The huge area of sandy beach on offer combined with lots of great activities and restaurants makes it a great day out. On the East coast is Daytona Beach, of motor racing fame, while Cocoa Beach has Ron Jons surf shop as an added attraction. While on the east coast don’t forget to visit the Kennedy Space Centre. From the villa the beaches are about an hour and a half drive.

Florida is a golfing paradise, offering you the chance to play a round on a huge range of beautiful courses. Best of all if the weather – no more freezing in the rain to contend with! The Orlando area offers over 60 golf courses, most of which are open to the public – just phone up to reserve and then turn up and play. Compared to many parts of the world the prices are very reasonable as well.
